14 pints of salsa

14 pints of salsa sit on our canning shelf in the utility room. We are masters of the universe!

Your description of canning sent me to Farmer Budd's vegetable stand in Belleville. I got the 'usual' half bushel of tomatoes and all the green, jalapeno, hot and sweet peppers and onions to make salsa. My neighbor brought over her glass of wine and wore her 'salsa shirt' (black) to help me hand-chop the salsa. After sampling and keeping aside a few pints of the fresh salsa, we ended up with 16 pints to process. It looks so pretty sitting on my counter! Thanks for the inspiration!
